ISPS courses are delivered at both our training facilities situated in the north & south of the country in Kendal in Cumbria and Boreham in Essex. In addition all courses can be delivered ‘In-house’ at clients preferred locations (subject to MCA training facility approval for the CSO & SSO courses). The 1 and 2 day awareness and overview courses may also be delivered aboard vessels if required.
The following courses & services focus on the requirements of the ISPS code in setting out ‘measures and procedures to prevent acts of terrorism which threaten the security of passengers and crew and the safety of ships’ and port facilities.

This course is designed for ships officers who are eligible to be Ship Security Officers (SSO) under the ISPS code and will provide the Ship Security Officer with an overview of the standards required by the ISPS code and the knowledge and skills he/she will require to carry out their role including security inspections and the maintenance and supervision of the ship security plan

This course has been designed for managers who are eligible to be Company Security Officers (CSO) under the ISPS code. It will provide the company security officer with an overview of the standards required by the ISPS code and the knowledge and skills he/she will require to carry out their responsibilities and duties in the role including ship security assessments and the development, implementation and maintenance of the ship security plan

This course has been designed to provide the training required for port facility officers who are eligible to be PFSO's as set out in the ISPS code. It provides the Port Facility Security Officer with the knowledge & skills he/she will require carrying out their responsibilities and duties in the role.
