ISPS courses are delivered at both our training facilities situated in the north & south of the country in Kendal in Cumbria and Boreham in Essex. In addition all courses can be delivered In-house at clients preferred locations (subject to MCA training facility approval for the CSO & SSO courses). The 1 and 2 day awareness and overview courses may also be delivered aboard vessels if required. The following courses & services focus on the requirements of the ISPS code in setting out ‘measures and procedures to prevent acts of terrorism which threaten the security of passengers and crew and the safety of ships’ and port facilities.
This course is designed for ships officers who are eligible to be Ship Security Officers (SSO) under the ISPS code and will provide the Ship Security Officer with an overview of the standards required by the ISPS code and the knowledge and skills he/she will require to carry out their role including security inspections and the maintenance and supervision of the ship security plan
This course has been designed for managers who are eligible to be Company Security Officers (CSO) under the ISPS code. It will provide the company security officer with an overview of the standards required by the ISPS code and the knowledge and skills he/she will require to carry out their responsibilities and duties in the role including ship security assessments and the development, implementation and maintenance of the ship security plan
This course has been designed to provide the training required for port facility officers who are eligible to be PFSO's as set out in the ISPS code. It provides the Port Facility Security Officer with the knowledge & skills he/she will require carrying out their responsibilities and duties in the role.
A 2 day course designed for personnel who are not necessarily required to receive formal training under the ISPS code, but who would benefit from a more in depth course than given in the ISPS Awareness course (see below) for example Ships Masters & senior managers within the marine & port facility industries
A 1 day course designed to raise awareness of the security threat to ships and the marine industry, suitable for ships crew, port facility personnel and office staff
Our experienced security auditors provide a service that includes a threat analysis, on site assessment and full report using either MCA or DNV formats. Assessments can be tailored to meet the requirements of companies existing formats and procedures where required.
This service ensures the development of the SSP or PFSP from the ship security assessment above
This service provides a written report on the threat, and on site assessment of the implemented plan. The choice of MCA, DNV or companies own formats can be used.
